On Wednesday, May 30 at 9:30 AM in HCR-6, the House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee will consider HB 869, a bill that would establish far-reaching restrictions on semi-automatic firearms (dubbing them "assault weapons") and ammunition magazines. It would target every firearm modified to conform with the now-extinct Clinton Gun-Ban plus many other semi-automatic firearms that have no lineage to those rifles or any military-style orientation whatsoever.
HB 869 would also require current owners of such firearms to register their firearms with the State Police, obtain and renew a license annually to keep them, restrict how and where they may be used or transported, and allow the State Police to inspect private homes for compliance.
Please contact your State Representative toll-free at (800) 256-3793 and respectfully urge him or her to oppose this gun-ban and to vote “NO” on HB 869.

More idiocy from commiefornia
Assembly Bill 1471, sponsored by Assembly Member Mike Feuer (D-42), would require that after a certain date, the make, model, and serial number be microstamped onto the interior surface or internal working parts of all handguns in such a manner that those identifiers are imprinted onto the cartridge case upon firing. Per AB1471, handguns that did not include their identifying information would be defined as “unsafe,” and their manufacture, sale, and transfer would be a crime.
I think we should wall of commiefornia and not Mexico, let commiefornia be it's own country and not give it any aid. Let us see how long they last

SAF SAYS D.C. CIRCUIT DENIAL ON RE-HEARING OF PARKER CASE WAS RIGHT
http://saf.org/viewpr-new.asp?id=225
For Immediate Release: 5/8/2007
BELLEVUE, WA – This morning’s decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to deny a petition from the District of Columbia for a hearing of Parker v. District of Columbia before the full court was “right and proper,” said Alan M. Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation.
“This is a strong signal that the D.C. Court of Appeals, which is the second most powerful court in the country, feels the original ruling by Senior Judge Laurence H. Silberman is solid,” Gottlieb stated. “It is now up to the district to accept the ruling and begin the process of licensing handguns to be kept legally in district residences, or to appeal the case to the Supreme Court.”
A win for the gun owners, but we can not drop our efforts, or let our guard down.
